Day 1

Depart London Heathrow on your British Airways flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the 5* Meridien Pyramids Hotel near the Pyramids of Giza for two nights.

Cairo is a city of over 16 million people, the largest city in Africa. Set on the River Nile it is a complex blend of cultures and civilizations going all the way back to the days of the Pharaohs and offers an incredible selection of shopping, leisure, culture and nightlife.

Day 2

Day at leisure to explore the area of the Pyramids and the Sphinx.

Day 3

In the morning enjoy a private sightseeing tour of Cairo including a visit to the Egyptian Museum (an additional fee is payable locally for entrance to the Mummies Hall).

Afternoon at leisure. You will then be transferred to the station to catch the overnight train to Luxor. Dinner and breakfast on the train are included. Accommodation in sleeping berths.

Day 4

On arrival in Luxor (early morning) you will be met and transferred to the 4* Movenpick Luxor Hotel. Accommodation will be reserved from the evening before enabling to go straight to your rooms.

Luxor, site of the ancient city of Thebes, is in Upper Egypt and has often been referred to as the “world’s greatest open air museum”, with the ruins of the temple complex at Karnak, and the monuments, temples and tombs on the West Bank of the Nile. Luxor is also a starting or finishing point for Nile cruises.

Day 5

Half day West Bank sightseeing tour including the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Day 6

Half day East Bank sightseeing tour including Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Day 7

Day at leisure in Luxor.

Day 8

Transfer to your 5* vessel to start a two night cruise. In the afternoon, sail to Esna, cross the lock and sail on to Edfu where you will be moored overnight.

Day 9

Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu then sail to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon visit the Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan and moor there overnight.

Day 10

Disembark after breakfast and visit the Aswan Dam and the Temple of Philae. Embark on a private Felucca and spend 2 nights sailing on the Nile (full board basis).

Day 11

On board the Felucca.

Day 12

Arrive in Edfu, disembark from the Felucca and travel overland to Hurghada on the Red Sea (about 5 hours). On arrival in Hurghada, you will be transferred to the 5* Dana Beach Resort for three nights. All meals are included.

Day 13

After breakfast, enjoy a 5 hour trip which includes a Quad Bike ‘tour’, a camel ride, a visit to a Bedouin village and a light Bedouin dinner.

Day 14

At leisure.

Day 15

Check out from the hotel and transfer to Cairo International Airport in time to catch your return flight to the UK.
