Australia – Coast and Uluru : 23 days

Day 1

Depart London Heathrow on your flight to Brisbane.

Day 2

On arrival in Brisbane meet your family and friends with whom you will stay for the next few days.

Days 3 – 7

Own arrangements.

Day 8

Make your way to Brisbane Airport for your flight to Gladstone. On arrival transfer to Gladstone Marina for the launch to Heron Island for 5 nights. Accommodation on full board basis.

Heron Island is a true coral cay right on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. Here you can swim straight off the beach to an endless garden of coral where the waters are literally teeming with beautifully coloured fish and marine life.

Days 9 – 12

At leisure on Heron Island.

Day 13

Return to Gladstone Airport and check in for your flight to Sydney via Brisbane. On arrival transfer by Airport Shuttle to the Medina Grand Sydney Apartment Hotel for 6 nights.

The first city to be established in Australia Sydney was originally settled by the British in 1788, fifty years before Melbourne. The city occupies a quite breathtaking natural aspect, from the blue waters of the harbour to the mountain range of the Great Dividing Range that rises away to the West.

Day 14

Day at leisure.

Day 15

Full day Hunter Valley Vintage Tour. Travel through the historic Rocks area before crossing over the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge and continue to Ku-ring-gai National Park and the mighty Hawkesbury River. Depart for the Broken Back Range & climb the escarpment to Mt View before descending into the Hunter Valley to begin your wine tasting at a few of the very special boutique wineries in the area. Enjoy a gourmet lunch & spend the afternoon visiting some of the larger vineyards for more superb wine tastings.

Days 16 – 17

At leisure.

Day 18

Bridge Climb! Enjoy spectacular views from the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Day 19

Transfer to Sydney airport by Airport Shuttle in time to check in for your flight to Ayers Rock. On arrival you will be transferred by courtesy shuttle to the Sails in the Desert Hotel for 2 nights. In the evening enjoy the Sounds of Silence dinner. Be transported to a desert dune where you sip champagne and listen to haunting sounds of didgeridoo as you watch a magnificent sunset over Kata Tjuta. When the sun has finally set, lanterns are lit and dinner is served under the stars. The resident astronomer will introduce guests to the magnificent constellations, stars and planets that make up the skies of the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 20

Day at leisure. Uluru-Katatjuta National Park is home to the most recognised Australian landmark of Uluru (previously called Ayers Rock). World Heritage listed, the Park covers an area of approximately 1325 square kilometres of striking landscape.

Day 21

Transfer by courtesy shuttle to the airport in time for your return flight to Sydney. Overnight Holiday Inn Sydney Airport.

Day 22

Depart Sydney on your flight to London Heathrow.

Day 23

UK arrival.
