Day 1

On arrival in Hanoi you will be met and transferred to Halong Bay for 2 nights in the Halong Bay Hotel.

Day 2

Designated a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, Halong Bay offers exquisite scenery with lovely walks. Take a 4-hour boat trip and explore its craggy limestone islands and grottos.

Day 3

Transfer back to Hanoi for 2 nights at the Golden Key Hotel. In the afternoon take a sightseeing tour and visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature and the One Pillar Pagoda.

Day 4

Full day tour to the Perfume Pagoda (Chua Huong). Accessible only by boat, this is possibly the most beautiful pagoda in Vietnam.

Day 5

Fly from Hanoi to Hue where you will be met and transferred to the Huong Giang Hotel for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure to explore Hue. Places to visit include the Old Imperial City, the Imperial Tombs of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, Dong Ba Market and the Royal Palace.

Day 6

Take a day trip to the Bach Ma National Park. This recently established national park is situated near the Hai Van Pass with beautiful views of the coast. It is inhabited by local ethnic minorities and contains a wide variety of plant and animal life.

Day 7

Travel by vehicle from Hue to Da Nang for two nights at the Bamboo Green Riverside Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore Da Nang.

Day 8

Sightseeing day in Da Nang to include the Cham Museum, the Marble Mountains and China Beach.

Day 9

Fly from Da Nang to Saigon where you will be met and transferred to the Huong Sen Hotel for 3 nights. During the afternoon, take in some of the sights of Saigon including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Palace of the Jade Emperor and Ben Thanh Market.

Day 10

Take a trip to the Mangrove Forest. Spend a day on this island which has a unique natural environment.

Day 11

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the North Vietnamese Army’s vast tunnel network which stretches over 250 kilometres and then go to Tay Ninh and the church of the unique and colourful Cao Dai sect.

Day 12

Depart Saigon and return to the UK.
